Outdoor Events – Work Order Requirements

All events scheduled to occur outdoors on Stanford’s main academic campus (LBRE serviced areas) requires the following Customer Funded work requests to be placed. Each service should be submitted as its own request.

  1. Grounds/Irrigation – Regardless of the event occurring on pavement, grass or a patio, a Customer Funded work request is required. Irrigation will be shutoff in the areas surrounding the event site. Grounds will confirm no major work is scheduled in the area and inspect the area post event for any issues or damages. Estimated cost of this service is $125/hr. if the area is left clean and undamaged.
  2. PSSI (Trash/Recycling/Compost “trio” bins) – If your event will be serving food, a Customer Funded work request for PSSI’s trio bins are required to be ordered. One set of trio bins typically handles waste for 60-75 people. PSSI will confirm your order 1 - 2 business days prior to your event.
  3. Janitorial  –  If your event will be utilizing a nearby building's restrooms, please double check with the Building Manager if they will require a Customer Funded work order for Janitorial to provide a cleaning and refresh service for the restrooms being utilized. If your event will result in a large amount of trash or you wish to have custodial services clean up after your event, please submit a Customer Funded work request.
